I am an early 20's female looking to move to Park Ave and 46th street. I take night classes in NYC that end around 9-10 pm so I would be walking home around 11pm (does the jitney stop all along Blvd East? If so, my walk would only be a block). Does this area seem like an OK place to be walking alone sort-of late at night?

Thanks!

i live around that area. The jitney goes up and down through all of blvd east and is 24 hours. the area is also very safe. never had an issue, neither has my wife. The weehawken area of course is better, but park ave is safe too. I've never walked deeper into union city, but never had a reason to.

Nice area with great views. Cheaper than Hoboken and probably more bang for your buck.

Are there are bars up there? I remember seeing a charritos that looked sexy up on the hill.

I don't live too far from there. That area is fine. THere are restaurants, bars, supermarket, post office, DUnkin DOnuts, and more along park avenue. Charritos is on Boulevard East

Don't know if it matters, but Weehawken also has a beautiful mansion that was turned into the town library.
