I don't live in Bergen County but when I pass through I can't help but think. Do people in Bergen County really have money or are they all "credit rich"??? I know there isn't ONE answer but what are your thoughts.

The average yearly median household income in Paramus, Oradell, Ridgewood, Wyckoff, and Ho-Ho-Kus is over $100,000, and in some of those towns almost $150,000 a year.

It means as many make over that amount as under that amount. So if Ridgewood averages about $140,000 average income, that means just as many make over that amount as under that amount.

To put it into perspective, Ridgewood has a much higher average income than Beverly Hills, CA, which is supposed to be so affluent.

The average income in the United States is about $50,000. So this area's average income is more than double the national average.

New Jersey is usually one of the top three wealthiest states in the country.

Yes, it is impressive. It doesn't matter if you are not impressed.

The more money you make the more you want. Very few Generation X'ers are good with their money. The best are the giant gawdy houses on Forest or Oradell Ave with the Mercedes in the driveway. Yeah, you are some baller living on Oradelll Ave

Many of the stores are tops in their company even though Paramus is open 6 days a week. Lots of rich people both in B.C. and coming over from NYC keep sales ringing.
