Interesting reading this thread! No one has stated the obvious? The pension that have been promised need to be reduced. The
pension systems is a sham, why should people work for 20 or 25 years and retire at 46 with a full pension? We then pay these people while they get another job and get a pension at the same time. If I was a pension recipient I would negotiate with state to make the system solvent. The way the numbers look you can raise all the taxes you want it will not save this program.
