Default One more great thing about NJ

Late this afternoon I am on the Parkway making my usual commute between Kenilworth and Toms River when I'm struck by the color of the trees. If you ever doubt the beauty of the state simply check out the trees and bushes as the sun shines upon the autumn reds, yellows, oranges and greens. Whether it's driving the Parkway or down the street of one of our many beautiful towns don't let this fleeting time of year pass you by. I happen to think this is the most beautiful time of year and we are so lucky to be in an area where we truly experience the change of seasons.

And sitting on the parkway making that commute, you got plenty of time to slowly crawl along and enjoy the scenery......lol.

you're delusional. this state is a cesspool of a garbage dump, and the sooner you realize this, the better off you'll be. to prove my point, see these pictures taken TODAY at High Point by a friend of mine. a friggen ugly disaster this place is, I tell ya:

Living out in rural Warren County, I get to experience the beauty of NJ on a daily basis. Driving through the mountains every day this time of year always puts a smile on my face. The rainbow of colors is breathtaking. Maybe if some residents of the more urban areas took a nice country drive every now and again, they could appreciate NJ more.

What absolutely hideous pictures, Tahiti!

You mean, people ACTUALLY choose to live in that horribly ugly place called New Jersey?

:P

(p.s. tell your friend that they took some amazing and beautiful pictures!)

You are so right. It really is a garbage dump. You know, people complain about how over-populated the state is, we should stop postings with pictures like that. They might actually want to move here!

hey!
great pics! great job! love that area myself, but...next time, include photos of lovely Paterson, beautiful ,shining Newark, overcrowded Totowa, overpriced/overpopulated Wayne, Rt 23/46/80 interchange..the area surrounding High Point State Park is beautiful indeed, but we can't live there, or Monksville Dam area, or Wanaque Resevoir area, without paying $9k+ in taxes per year..
Next time, take a pic of Rt 46e/3e merge at 6.30 AM. I've been driving that road at that time since 1995 to work in Rutherford. Is it me,or is everyone leaving home earlier and earlier to 'avoid' traffic? I'm now stuck in a parking lot on Rt 3 east, at 6.30 am,when 'rush hour' didn't hit that road until 7.30/8 am..at this rate, by 2010, I will have to leave my house at 4.20 AM to avoid traffic on rt 46 and rt 3.

Take a photo of Ringwood Ave in Wanaque, at 7.30 AM...notice how far back the line of cars goes..stand atop Skyline Drive at that hour, take some pics of the rush hour there,too..

All right...now I miss NJ even more than I was.

We need a thread with pictures of parts around NJ/where posters reside.
