Diners are all over around here, but for the most part ehh. I like a little bit of this, little bit of that. We have a Hometown Buffet in Edison, but it isn't so good. There is also a Southern Smokehouse Buffet in Linden, but that is vile. Way too much salt in everything.

I think most of the "stores" I'd like to see are restaurants. I like Trader Joe's and Fairway. But at the same time, Whole Foods has it's positives as well (and negatives).

I'd like to see a PF Chang's (closest is in Hackensack), Zinburger (the new one is in Paramus), Cheeburger Cheeburger (E. Rutherford), and Bahama Breeze (new one in Paramus).

anyone who has ever been to a jose tejas restaurant knows that they need to build more jose tejas restaurants.

ive never seen either location without a full parking lot and a really long wait.

We go to the same one. I find the selection to pale a bit to SR (who seems to have everything) but it's a small price to pay for the lesser insanity.

I asked my brother & SIL for their opinions of Weis, as that is their local market in PA.
Their opinion is that Weis (like Shop-Rite) is highly variable, depending on the location. They say that the older stores are less clean and have less selection than the newer, larger Weis stores.

Overall, they rate Weis as..."average".
When they come to visit me in NJ, they try to visit Wegmans, Trader Joe's, & Whole Foods, none of which they have anywhere near them in PA.

There used to be one in Paramus, right near my office. I liked it. They shut down. I think the building had problems, but there's a Houlihan's there now.

Now that I think about it...wasn't there a fire there or something? I don't remember. I was there right before they shut down. I think there was a problem with the building and they shut down, but there may have been a fire there. Anyone remember?
