Hi,

Does anyone know any place where I can buy a round marble slab to be used for a DIY table in Northern or Central New Jersey? Most places that deal with marble, deal with kitchen, etc., and they don't seem to have small pieces. I'm interested in something about 34" in diameter. I already have a base, and I want to put a round marble top on it.

Thanks in advance,

Atsushi

I found a guy on craigslist when I was looking for a scrap piece of granite. I sawed the top off my old entertainment unit (that can't hold the bigger flat screen TV's) and wanted to just lay granite or marble on top of the cabinet base. The guy I found had a bunch of scrap granite (mostly reclaimed from kitchn or bathroom projects) and he cut it to size and polished/treated it.

have you tried asking granite companies to keep you in mind when they have some scraps?

And you know, there are granite/marble tiles
