I will be attending a Devils game at the new Prudential Center in Newark, but I'll be coming up from Cherry Hill. My plan is to drive up to one of the train stops on the NJ Transit NE Corridor line, park, and take the train into Penn Station. Although Trenton is the end of the line and closest to me, I'm probably going to skip that one and head up to either Hamilton or Princeton Jct. I'm not really feeling a drive through Trenton at night! My question is....is Hamilton a decent area? It seems to be a much smaller station than the one in Princeton Jct so I'm favoring that one. Anybody have any input on this or know these stations? Thanks!

You shouldnt have any problems at the hamilton station, unlike the trenton station it's not smack in the middle of an urban area or any walking traffic for that matter. If you were really uncomfortable your best bet would be to go one station down from the hamilton one, Yardley, pa. Small safe suburban town absolutley no problem parking or driving, right next to 95 on ramp. But if you do this you would most likely have to transfer trains between the trenton and hamilton stations (trenton runs to hamilton, hamilton runs to yardley, but you will have to switch at hamilton). it would be an extra ten minutes out of your way. Anyway Trentons not as bad as everyone thinks, I drive through it late at night all the time in a very non-conspicous car and I never have any problems. The majority of the crime is gang on gang. hope that helped

Trenton's not that bad??? Tell that to us living there. Tell that to the innocent little kids getting hit by stray bullets, or the working hispanics constantly gettin beaten and robbed throughout the city. To say that the crtime is mostly gang on gang is far from the truth. Our city looks like a warzone and will probably remain so until Dougie Palmer is booted out.

The stations in Hamilton and Princeton Jct are in very safe locations. Either one is a fine choice.
