Does anyone know where city-data.com gets its crime rate data? The site doesn't note sources. Thanks!

Ive noticed some the stats are off and wayy outdated on this site for crime or in general....it seems like they copy wikipedia and then inflate or deflate some of the stats or don't even update them.
