Hey all!

I'm a fellow Country lifestyle loving New Jerseyan!

I was wondering what their is to do in Cowtown. I am going with my family this Saturday. My sibling had passed through it before, and said it looked really neat. We are about an hour and a half away from it. I was looking up things to do in the area, as we are making a day trip out of it. We are definitely going to the Rodeo at night, but does anyone have an suggestions on anything else? I read something about the Flea Market, but are there also little shops around, preferably that sell real Cowboy Boots? Are there any good restaurants? If we can't find anything to do, we usually can find something or we can just leave a little later and go to the Rodeo. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Cowtown isn't actually a "town" it's located in Pilesgrove, NJ. On Saturday's from 8a-4p near the rodeo site they have the Cowtown Farmer's Makret which has around 400 vendors and a large variety of things.

I also think at the actual rodeo site there are usually some vendor tables before the rodeo selling things like hats and boots and I also think the rodeo itself operates an "outfitter" store that sells higher end boots, hats, belts, etc.

Located within Pilesgrove is the independent town of Woodstown. Woodstown has a decent historic downtown with some shops and restaurants.

Welcome to Woodstown, NJ

The most developed area near there is Swedesboro/Woolwich/Logan. There are plenty of restaurants and bars ranging from casual to more formal in the area. Downtown Swedesboro has a couple of nice restaurants such as Tavro 13, Botto's Italian Line and Rode's Fireside Inn. In Logan, you will find the Village Center Inn which is a sports bar kind of place in the PJ Whelihans mold with a variety of sandwiches, burgers, appetizers, etc. Also in Logan is G&G Farmer's Market that sells a variety of local produce and is also an ice cream and water ice stand.

I've heard the flea market is pretty large, so that should keep you pretty busy for a long time and take you right into the time the rodeo starts. Here is a link to the town, click on the links for "things to do" "shopping" "food and beverages" etc.
