I sure hope so. I am worrying that my roots are killed. I will give it until October to see if there are any progress, because right now it's an eye sore.

If the spots are bare now, you'll have a good chance that weeds will eventually take over. You will then have to kill the weeds before you can seed or sod. Growing from seed at this time of year may be tricky.
