Does anyone have any experience fighting one of those automated tickets from a red light camera....? Apparently I got one for making a turn on red onto Route 18, even though there is not a "no turn on red" sign, and this is even evident in the picture taken.

First hand experience? No
My suggestion: Take a picture of the intersection to prove that there isn't a sign and then say you were making room for an emergency vehicle.

I got one in the same area for not coming to a complete stop at the red light before turning.
Is it worth it to try to fight it, or would I just be wasting my time?
Fight it. You can plea down to something much less at your trial. Basically as it stands, you ran a red light, and that is points. You have to fight it.
OK after talking to some people, the ticket is probably for failing to stop for a full 6 seconds before making the turn, not the fact that I turned.
How in the world does a still camera make that determination!?!?!
But still, do I have a realistic chance fighting this, or am I wasting my time.
Effin' East Brunswick......
Each town is pulling this crap about X seconds. The State law cleary states that you need to come to a full stop before going. There is NOTHING in the State law that says you need to stop for X seconds.
I thought tickets given via traffic cameras do not come with points since they can't determine who was driving the car.
I hope this is right.... makes sense.
Any idea where I might clarify this further.
I reviewed the video on the violation website.
I only stopped for like 2 seconds. Not anywhere near 5 or 6, so guessing I'm screwed in terms of fighting it.
Sucks, but live & learn I guess.

If you reall want to push the envelope, ask the police for the law that states you must stop for X seconds.
I'd be willing to bet serious money that they will never find it because it doesn't exist.
