Actually that plant is in the Forked River section of Lacey Township but it is extremely close by. That should be a major concern to anyone in the area as it is the oldest nuclear plant in the country and has been closed down because of minor problems and than restarted. They have major fish kills next to the outflow tanks when they restart. Also on a road next to the plant is the stored waste from the facility that has been accumulating for years. A news crew wandered down the road last year and caught the guards sleeping. If channel 7 could do this what do you think a sophisticated terrorist could do. Hey your gonna die one way or another. Good luck either way. Just kidding.

The Power Plant is in Lacey...not Waretown.
If you are afraid to move near the plant then I can understand.
We are all dead.
We, however, do glow in the dark and are able to grow tomatoes the size of basketballs and cukes the size of sequoias.

I love the SW2 model also and am thinking of purchasing one. Can you give me an estimate of what your monthly utility costs are? Now that you are settled in, do you like the Community? Thanks

As for the taxes it is apparent you have done no homework as the taxes are extremely low and in fact have actually come DOWN due to the influx of senior citizens (no children) who utilize less of the towns resources such as education which is the great majority of the tax bill.
Of course I spoke to residents and found no one (5 people) who had any complaints when they bought other then the routine new home ones which they claim were quickly and professionally addressed.
Sounds like you may have an agenda here since you are not reporting factually.

Traffic Can Be Hell, Even During The Off Season. Problem Is Only 2major Roads (route 9 And The Gsp). I Love The Area, Moved To Waretown 4 Yrs Ago From Central Jersey, Slower Pace, Like The Schools Here Better For Our Son. The Smell Of Salt In The Air Is Wonderful. Taxes Are Alot Less Than What We Were Paying In North Brunswick. Boat Ramp Is Around The Corner From Our House, Love It. Parks Are Great For Dog Walking, Just Sitting On The Bench And Looking Out At The Bay, Very Relaxing. Just Have To Deal With The Lack Of Roads To Get From Here To There....

Golfers Beware
The golf committee just implemented a new tee time system. You fill out a form one week in advance and place the time that you prefer on the form. The forms are then pulled randomly and you are placed as close to the time you requested. The problem is, it doesn't work. It just started and people are being given times several hours from when they requested. An example is a group asked for a 9:00 a.m. time and was given 12:30 p.m. Although this system failed in other communities it has just been implemented at Greenbriar Oceanaire. They previously used a phone call in system 1 day in advance. Although it was difficult, at times, to get the exact time that you asked for, you could get close to it. This new system is terrible. If you like not having any control over when you are going to play and take 5 hours to play, then this is the place for you.

I have lived in the community for five years and the taxes actualyy came down after the first year. The town did a reassessment and our taxes were lowered by approximately $1,500.

I agree. It's only a few days old and this new tee time system is the worst that I have ever seen. Imagine getting a tee time by having a piece of paper pulled out of a hat? What a dumb idea!!
