Hi,

I am thinking of moving to Mountainside, NJ. Does anyone know if there are any temples or a Jewish community in Mountainside?

Thanks!

Default Jewish in Mountainside

I just wanted to reply to the question of any temples or anything in Mountainside... Actually, I cannot tell you much about Mountainside, but I grew up in Westfield(the next town over) and there is at least one very popular temple(Temple Emmanuel) and growing up there, I'd say at least 1/2 of my friends were Jewish-I am not. I haven't lived there for 14 years, but it hasn't changed much. It's an AWESOME town. I'd give anything to move back, myself- but fot the moment, I'm stuck in Redondo Beach, CA. GOOD LUCK!

Default Mountainside

I recently moved to Mountainside from Elizabeth, where we lived within a very large orthodox community. The Temple which the other writer spoke of is still in westfield and thriving, but it is not within walking distance of any home in Mountainside.

Ira,

Mountainside does have a slight Jewish population, however Springfield,Millburn,Livingston, and Summit have greater. Good Luck!
