Population may have increased in the census but in some areas the population decreases....I would bet my last dime the populaion of Detroit is not what it was even 10 years ago

The point was after declining for a few decades it is now on the upswing....

Please we like it here let us be and go do whatever retired blue hairs do in FL

Why do people such as yourself take such glee in coming onto a forum and bashing the state you left?? What useful purpose does it serve??

Pot stirrer

Uh...yeah...but in case you already forgot, I was not the one claiming no one was moving back to the cities. And I wasn't referring to the overall US census count, but rather the count for NJ cities. But I think you knew that

I think he truly misses NJ, there had to be something he liked about this place...had to be!

I wanted to disagree with your comment because I like to consider this a playfully high-strung discussion, but you're right, and I'm definitely guilty as hell.

Yes there was.....I definitely enjoyed the scenry and fishing the bays of Long Beach Island for fluke in the summer but the reality is that there just isn't any comparison between New Jersey salt water fishing and Florida salt water fishing....whether it be the a gulf or the Atlantic. Fresh water is the same situation......just way too many under fished lakes and rivers down here with an abundance of fish to compare to the mercury polluted waters New Jersey offered. Finally....there is no season for fishing down here....you can fish 365 days a year....and should you ever get tired of fishing we snorkel for scallops and lobster.

Ok, if you assume it's just another random blip stat.

There has been 7 homicides last week in Newark. How much more senseless killings do we need and nothing's gonna change here in Newark.

Two more killings bring this week's homicide toll in Newark to 7

It's alright, most working people are safe when they come into work during the work day within the police protection perimeter.

that's not my point. my point is that you always have people that talk about how they walk in some place all the time and nothing has happened to them as if it demonstrates that the place is safe. the problem is that when it comes to violent crime, it only takes one incident to change everything.

Ok, so with that dumb logic why live in New York City (or any other American city)?
