Tunnel and bridge tolls crossing the Hudson going up $2! With the higher gas prices, this just adds insult to injury!

The Port Authority is controlled by the governors of NY and NY. Both tax and spend democratic liberal governors. Did you expect anything else. Wait until January of 2008. Heard the turnpike and parkway at LEAST doubling the tolls. Remember Shundler for governor he was going to try to eliminate the tolls. NJ would NOT vote for him. We deserve exactly what we get. Only 2 years ago yes two years ago, Corslime said he was going to reduce our property taxes by 30 percent at 10 percent a year for 3 years. Guess what they went up for three years in a row. And yes with oil at almost 100 dollars a barrel, what do you think our governor is going to do. Raise our gas taxes between 20-25 cents a gallon. So for everyone and anyone that voted for him look in the mirror and blame yourself.

Glad I never bought a house in this bubble. Makes me more mobile, I can get out of the state scot-free if I need to.

Well I could take Rt.9 to work, about 3 hours, and then swim over to Manhattan for lunch and it won't cost to much

Just hope that Bloomberg's pay-to-drive in NYC Plan never goes into effect.

It wouldn't change anything for people coming from Jersey. The PlaNYC congestion price would be $8. Any toll you pay to get to NYC would be discounted from that amount (if you cross the Lincoln Tunnel for $6, then you'd only pay an additional $2 in NYC). If the Port Auth tolls go up to $8, then there would be no additional NYC charge if you take those crossings.
