So I just had an incident with my car. Ice fell off my roof in a spot i didn't realize there was still ice and perfectly redirected to my driveway. Liberty Mutual is handling the claim very smoothly. It was painless. i had a claim years ago with Geico and had no complaints also, but this is my second experience with Liberty Mutual (they replaced my roof due to Sandy) and it couldn't get much easier than it's been with them.
I read reviews on Glassdoor about NJM. They "seem" (operative word), to mistreat their employees.
"You can't believe everything you read" as the saying goes, but I just don't like the posts of the employees, they seem really disgruntled.
As you all know by know, distributed information is everywhere, and reviews carry some weight.
But, back to the point. I am shopping around, but it may be silly. Seems the very best thing to do is stay, but come renewal, pay all upfront and receive the discount; it could be considerable - nearly a $200 savings per annum.

Thank you.
Not for nothing but majority of people that leave comments on Glassdoor are disgruntled employees. Happy/satisfied employees rarely go to sites like that to post their experiences. Besides, I'm not looking to work there...
When I had my wife switch from Progressive to my NJM policy, Progressive went through all kinds of options and incentives that would lower the premium to try and convince her to stay. When my wife told him she's going to NJM, the Progressive rep told her "why didn't you tell me that from the beginning? We can't come close to them." Enough said....

NJM is fine is you don't need a wide range of policy types. But they were not significantly less expensive than State Farm when all the multiline discounts were removed. I went with NJM years ago when SF said they were leaving the state. But as they only handle auto and home, all the other lines had to remain with SF.
Their Umbrella coverage has more limitations than SF. If one only needs auto coverage and is eligible, then it's a good deal.
Just saw this although most companies have the same view.

Zero-point tickets are considered violations. Examples of zero-point
violations include unsafe operation of a motor vehicle, and delaying
traffic.
Not sure how accurate that is given my wife has 4 points and an accident in the past 3 years. They took her with no questions asked. I have 0 points and no accidents. Maybe they looked the other way given we have a homeowners policy and 2 cars?
