Exactly !!! Yes,.....they pay slightly higher income tax but have universal health care. Here, we have to depend upon insurance companies to do the "right thing" and history has proven that never really happens because they need to make a profit at the expense of our health.

True. RX drugs in Canada are more more reasonably priced. Many people go to Canada to get their medicine.

I remember when Selfie Lover Anthony Weiner was in Congress. During the Obamacare debate he made a very astute comment. Insurance companies provide NOTHING of value to the HC industry but rate-setting and maybe enrolling people and providing customer service. That can be done by anyone and we wouldn't have to pay a govt. manager $50 million/year like those HC CEOs make. I'm sure the VA does it efficiently. Basically insurance is a nothing but a well-paid middleman that drives patients, doctors & hospitals nuts with their rules. Universal healthcare would've been cheaper for sure. But the HC lobby is powerful like the NRA.

Half my relatives are Canadian (Toronto) and are very happy with their health care. Common sense tells you that a universal health care system with rates set by the government and eliminating the need for insurance company profits is going to be less expensive to operate and you wouldn't be arguing with insurance companies over what was covered and what wasn't.....but there's always the idiots screaming that would make us socialist communists. Meanwhile people continue to fall into debt, lose homes, can't afford health care or fall into financial ruin in the supposed richest nation on earth.....it's a disgrace. We could learn a lot for our socialist, communist neighbor to the north.

The Canadian Health System can be quite a challenge.

Familiarize yourself with the cost of health care here in the USA. It will, likely, be an eye opener for you.

Yes.....there can be a wait.....just like here in the states. When was the last time your family doctor referred you to a specialist and they gave you a next day appointment ?

If you are moving without a job, I would get something centrally located to multiple highways. Parsippany, Nutley, Springfield might be some options to look at where you could have the maximum job opportunities within reasonable driving distance.
