Now is that fair? St. Pete's need to play with big boys like Bosco --teams that recruit like college football.

Last year Kearny refused to play and was fined for violating rules. They should have refused to play them again this year.

This does nothing for Kearny football player's self-esteem and it puts them in a position of serious injury.

St. Peter's Prep play the big boys--a lot in Bergen County.

I didn't see that game, I was busy with the DePaul-Bosco game and the Paramus Catholic game, too. I agree with your analysis of that type of scheduling for Kearny. The Athletic Director there should answer to someone for OK'ing that game on the schedule....just awful for the kids. I also am not OK with St. Peter's for running up the score like that, too......even if their offensive players are trying to pad their stats for college scouting purposes.

sorry, I could not help but chuckle when I saw that score.

St Pete's does play out of state opponents. They just beat Eastern Christian, and will be playing a team from Chicago I think. Honestly, they should have been the guys to take on Miami Central. This year St Pete looks better than Don Bosco.

I think St Petes is going to win states this year.

But yes, they need to leave their conference and join the DBP, BC, and SJR conference.

I know their hockey team played a team from Canada. I wonder will they do that this year. I want to go to that game.

Ice hockey and Soccer have private club teams that recruit there players. I am not sure what their transfer rules are.

They should eliminate high school sports all together, and instead just increase the amount of gym class. Like have two gym classes a day. And let all the grades come out and just play anything they want.

As for sports, let football and basketball form junior leagues and teams. And kids have to tryout for those outside of "school"

Wowza but what is the point in running the score up so high? I would assume they pulled their starters out?

Guess the coach never heard of this:

In rare instances, a team will use the quarterback kneel to avoid running up the score in a lopsided contest, even though there may be significant time remaining on the clock.

What is the cut-off age for sportsmanship with these parents and the coaches? Sportsmanship is not a dead concept.
