We're getting closer to purchasing a house in Hackensack and looking for recommendations for an experienced house inspector who specializes in older houses (circa 1920). Has anyone had a particularly good experience with an inspector in North Jersey? We'll be looking for termite inspection as well. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I have a client who has used DM Home Inspections twice and has been very happy with their service. I worked with him on this last house which has parts dating back into the 1700's (so yes, they know old houses!). They travel around most of NJ.

They appear to be very thorough and made great recommendations. They, as do most home inspectors, also do the termite report.

Good luck!

Brooklynite, 1920's is about the average age of a house in Bergen County. I'm a full time home inspector, live in Hackensack, and have been in the business since 1986. Let me know if you have any particular questions about the house. I can give you my phone number, license #, website and references. Thanks

BTW, Little Silver is 90 minutes away. I would never drive that far to do an inspection.
