You are right I hate bears too, I had one bite me in the ass a few years back.
Most anyone with a heart or any degree of sensitivity finds stories of animal torture or cruelty troubling but I'm sure there are those who lack compassion when they see a helpless animal suffer needlessly. Im not a PETA member and l have no problem enjoying a good steak but I find it hard to take the "who cares" attitude when you see something positive in this world like people coming together to help an animal in pain. Like the "fans" who can overlook the sick behavior of Michael Vick if he can help them win a football game it's something l just can't comprehend.

Actually I do.....I'm a pretty good cook from a turkey to prime rib and I'm not going to settle for a mediocre steak when I can cook up a great steak myself.

Just think,he could have been fighting real crime.
I think you missed the point. The deer was doomed. Barney Fife shows up and wants to have his brother or my son discharge a firearm in a subdivision. We gun owners, having more common sense than some, opt for a bow. No noise, very little chance of harming anyone.

We were reactive. We didn't call the cops, they called us. The cop was already on patrol. The cost for such calls is already factored in for patrol expense ergo, no real incremental expense. The deer was butchered at no cost to tax payer and the meat was consumed. Personally, I thought the chili needed more salt.

The humor comes from what thes in New Jersey spent on saving the deer. Deer are currently over populated which makes it even more cruel as more have to share the same bounty. If it had been a human with an arrow in its mouth then, by all means, call Kojack and emergency 51 pronto.

If not, clip the damn deer and save the taxpayers money. But, then again, when you are addicted to the Sandy Bail Out Plan, why bother, right?
