I work most of the year but I get laid off during the winter/early spring every year (seasonal work) and this is the first time I had got laid off to filed a claim before my 1 year benefits expire.

I filed last year on Dec. 16, 2012 and got back to work early April...I worked this year and filed my claim on Nov. 22, 2013...it still shows my claim from last year and the amount/balance from last year...

I spoke to my boss and he did receive the info from unemployment to fill out from for my work this year and mailed it back last week.

I guess I am eligible to file a new claim once my old claim expires? I've been able to file a new claim online but I've heard many different stories about not being able to file online but have to call the dreadful unemployment centers.

Will I be okay to file a new claim after my 1 year claim expires?

You have to call UE office. The online system is not too smart when there is a break or when there is a new claim
