You mean Pkwy, Right. I lived in New York as a kid so I know what Pkwy, Expy, Tpke, and Thwy all mean .

It also says, "Randall's IZ" for Randall's Island--the sign says Randall's Is.

No, it says "P K Y (S or N)". It doesn't put the "W" in there.

Look at Mightyqueen's post above mine - Island, abbreviated IS comes out IZ on her GPS. They frequently get things like that wrong, IMO. It's not necessarily a bad thing, in most cases, just funny.

It also pronounces "Ocean" (as in Ocean Avenue or Boulevard) as "O-see-un".
