We have been casual acquaintances since then, but I finally got the courage to ask her out. She's a really amazing person and I really want to impress her. Would it be wrong if I went to her best friend to ask her what kinds of things I can do to make a good impression? Also, is getting flowers for a first date considered cute/thoughtful, or is it just cheesy and stupid?

Any advice would be appreciated!
For starters don't apologize for being 21, instead consider yourself lucky.
Bringing her flowers is a very thoughful gesture, I'm sure she'll think so too.
I wouldn't seek her friend for ideas though...leave her out of this...When you too are together (on date) ask her then what she'd like to do...If you are curteous and respectful towards her, and listen to what she has to say, you WILL make a good impression on her...Just be yourself and have fun.

No to both. You're going to come across as trying too hard and being too eager/needy, and scare her off. Don't try to impress her, get to know her and evaluate if she's someone you want to date. You sound like you already have her on a pedestal. Be careful with that, no girl wants to be there and it'll kill her attraction towards you.

Rent a nice car and take her to an expensive restaurant.

Ugh. Choosing Journey for anything induces a gag reflex. The creators of Glee shall burn in eternity for bringing their songs back.

You need to take it easy the first date. If you come out of the gate pulling out all the show stoppers, you're going to chase her off. Just be a gentleman, make sure you listen attentively, ask her questions that give her an opportunity to talk and express herself. No flowers first date....if you MUST do flowers, just bring one, but me I against flowers first date. Make sure if you laugh about something or really connect on a point remember it so you can text her later about it...."just was thinking about ....that was so funny. Anyway, had a really great time." That is a nice follow-up that shows you were listening and had fun without being too intense. Keep it light the first date otherwise you will scare her off. And most of all....have fun.

I went out on a date with a guy a long time ago (who I hardly knew) and he brought flowers and chocolates and I felt awkward and wished he hadn't.
Knowing her a month, I wouldn't do flowers.
As the above posts have suggested, be yourself, go somewhere fun and enjoy.
Good luck!!

It's a date with a girl, not a job interview. Relax and be yourself...

Perhaps, someday, you'll get to go on another date.
