Default Cedar Grove

Hi everybody. I need your help for some information about Cedar Grove.

1. I am looking at newer homes and townhouses over there. I need access to midtown direct train one of the montclair train stations. Does anybody know which train stations nearby still have parking available? Or anybody knows about any newer community which is close to these train stations?
2. Is there any area in the town I should stay sway? For safety reason or flood zone?
3. How is the school system there? Realtors always say it's "really good".
4. Any other recommendation/opinion about the town?

Thanks in advance.
Jarrod

Schools are very good, little crime, no flooding. Don't know about trains, sorry. It's a nice, very small quiet town with high taxes

yes, there is, but if it's the one I'm thinking about(I think it's Great Notch), parking is extremely limited. It's a great little town.

I lived in Cedar Grove for one year back in the stone ages (dumpy apartments on Pompton - those were the days!). Loved it. When we were looking at houses we first looked in CG, and what struck me was how LOW taxes were. That's also what the RE Agent was touting - some of the lowest in Essex County, so I was surprised to see the comment above me saying they are high. Maybe something's changed.

It's a really great little town. I enjoyed it - close to everything (except my job at the time, which is why we didn't buy there)....

I grew up in Oakland about 5 miles north, it's a fast area, rt 46 rt 80 rt 23 willowbrook. A little mafia in the area too. Can be expensive. Connie Frances lived in that area and someone shot her brother. long time ago though. Francanaro was the last name.
All in all a nice place all around, plenty of main routes for sure, but working in NYC. Not a good ride.
