I'm going to give a serious answer to a stupid post. Eggs do NOT go bad quickly, even in a month, EVEN if you leave them on the counter (except maybe in the hottest months of the year) !!!! So, there was no reason to panic in the first place. Actually, fresh eggs don't hard-boil worth a hoot, they should be a couple weeks old at least.

You should NEVER hard-boil eggs if you lose power. They will be fine for a few days.
