Good, I suppose timing is everything.

It is important, I fully realize - as do you, to be a steward, and care about our neighbors in the commumites where we live and, more importantly, outside of our own surroundings.

Most certainly agree with you on that point, Sagafrika.

When I was in Mt. Laurel for 8 years, I always did what I could to help my neighbors within reason, of course (I did not feel as though it was safe to check on the neighbors after that gas explosion though...that was a job for the police & fire depts.)

Even though some of my old neighbors were stand-offish and not very friendly, I'd still ring their bell if they left the garage door open and routinely mowed the front lawn beyond my property line (the lawn areas in front were small anyway)...as well as other things.

Still do some of the same things now in my current neighborhood, even though it isn't always reciprocated. But I always ask myself, "What would a good Christian do?", in situations like this.

Thank you everyone for supporting this thread, and thank you to this excellent forum for expression of thoughts.

I just heard that homeowners were collectively seeking legal counsel.

Because of the time, most homeowners were not at home, but their pets suffered.

My last post here. Thank you again.
