Default Does my dream house exist?

I need a single family home in southern NJ, not too far of a commute from Philly. I work near Woodbury. I only have about $230K to spend because of the stinkin' taxes here.
I need GREAT schools, 3+ bedrooms 1.5+ bathrooms and charm. We were looking at a fixer upper in Haddon Township With GREAT potential but are really scared about it turning into a money pit. The whole house needs to be renovated and it doesn’t have AC. Plus, the basement is moldy and will need to be remediated.
I found a rancher in Wenonah I want to look at. Any thoughts on that area? We have been mainly searching in the Haddon Twp. area and are getting really frustrated with our lack of choices there.
What other specific areas would you suggest? I have two young children so schools are really, really important.

Have you thought of possible looking in Jackson, NJ...not too far from Philly. There are many homes for sale in this area. As long as your are near I95 it will be an easy commute. Moderator cut: no soliciting on the boards, please

Wenonal is a great little town. That being said if you buy get a radon test as part of the transaction !!! As a New Jersey DEP radon specialist I can tell you that Wenonah is in a New Jersey DEP Tier One Zone and about 50% of the houses there have elevated levels over the DEP guildline.
