fellow cubans? huh? cuba is nowhere near colombia! from their, and my, perspective, they are better off in hackettstown. it's less dense, and the rent is much cheaper!

why do some people in america have this fear of spanish-speaking immigrants? should an illegal immigrant from canada come in, no one is angered, yet everyone is up in arms when a spanish-speaking community enters another. for example, spanish speaking people are one of the only factors in the survival of many rural and mountain communities.

I grew up 3 mi from the Mexican border so Hispanics do not "bother" me...we just want safe and family friendly and when my husband is not working a quiet place plus he likes a more rural feel and grew up in blue collar Buffalo NY

If you want a real and truth about living in Hackettstown send me an email. These people (most) sound like they are a little bitter.

Hi!
I am currently in this area having recently moved cross - country.
I was in the town yesterday and today. It offers a small town feel, with basics within 5 miles.

I am familiar with the Buffalo region, and this will be a nice segue. You won't be in culture shock as there will be familiar landscapes to that of Buffalo.

As you know, many towns bordering the Erie, were mill towns, manufacturing bustles, and here, you have a bit of the old and the new. There's not a lot of concrete. I mean that in a good way because there are trails to walk, to get outside where you can feel dirt under your shoes; walk the kiddies, walk the dog.

Priorities are different for everyone. I travel to work by car and sit in traffic.

Best wishes in your decision. :-)
