My wife and I are considering moving to Livingston. She works in midtown and would presumably take the midtown bus. I did a little bit search and found that there is a Coach USA bus going through route 10 then into midtown. Our realtor told us that there are other buses that run through the town (e.g. North Field Road), but I could not get the info online. Can anybody give us some details?
Also, would it be easy to park at the bus station or can you wave at the bus and it stops and let you in?
P.S. I would be driving to Harrison then go to downtown New York. How bad is the traffic on 280?
The Coach runs into the city on Northfield, as you stated.
The 73 also runs on Northfield to/from Livingston (and through the Oranges), although it stops at Newark-Penn-Station, where you would need to take a train to New York-Penn Station(not sure if they have buses that run out of there into the city)
Try NJTransit.com, they will give the best routes for your time/time of (or particular) day.

Reason: Needed to clarify.
It seems to take 73 50-60 minutes to Newark, after which another half an hour is needed to get to midtown. --NJ transit doesn't seem to be realistic for commute.
JASON ALEXANDER from Seinfeld ( George Costanza ) was born and raised in Livingston! that guy is the man, must be a great place!!
