Money no object?
Where in NJ?
That's pretty easy...
If money were no object I would buy the entire State.
Homes, roads (with tolls, of course) and beaches.
I would rename the entire coastline.
I would have Zeppelin reunion shows every month, along with Clapton jamming at my Arena.
Lobster would be the State shellfish and the Emu the State bird.
Sam Adams, Guinness ans Sambuca would be the only alcohol served.
I would move the Mets and the Miami Dolphins here (there would be no traffic jams, especially since no one goes to Dolphins games anyway).
I would make Tahiti Vice President and CFO. I'll even give her two counties of her choice...maybe even an entire square mile of LBI.

Summers on LBI, winters where I am now, but I'd also like a place close to the city (a high rise apt in Newport perhaps?)..

Yeah, I'd like a place in the city, in theory at least. Maybe a studio or something. It'd be more convenient, as the husband stays in the city a good bit, and then I could go in with our daughter and dog.
All who would stay put, ITA, except for if we could live on the Navesink. We're moving twice within 5 months or so, and I've told friends and family that I seriously will need my head checked if they hear we're moving again ever, with the exception of there.

Colt's Neck!
I'm kidding. I've never been there before, but I've heard it's very nice.
I guess I'd stick to where I'm familiar. Essex County. Preferably Livingston/Short Hills, the western part of West Orange (St. Cloud area), or Upper Montclair (though, some of the homes I've seen are kind of unrealistic, even for the rich. Who needs a soccer field in their front yard, anyway? ). While they all grabbed my heart, West Orange did the most, though.

I'd live on Navesink River Road in Middletown (or the Rumson side of the river would be fine, too).

I was just on that road recently, also. I love it there.
I'd say for me it would be Colts Neck or Rumson.

I grew up in Saddle River, NJ and I loved it there. Northern, NJ was a wonderful place growing up and I would love to live there one day myself if possible. It is definitely pricey but well worth it.
