Spoken like a true Mommy! Athough there are some days in the lives of parents that would justify LJeen to react that way!

I did a lot of research on this when we started thinking about Oklahoma. A manufactured home is what used to be known as a "mobile home". They can be fixed permanently to land, or put into a "mobile home park". They have come a long way and some of them are very spacious and elegant looking. I, however, would not risk one in Oklahoma (tornadoes). On the other hand, a modular home is a regular house, but it's built in a factory, driven in pieces to the land where it will be erected and then set on a foundation (basement) and finished there. When it is finished, there is no way (for an amateur, anyway) to tell that it hadn't been built right there on site.

Fine for you. I would throw myself out of a window if I had to feed and dress kids in the morning before going to work and needing a babysitter which there would be no way I could afford and come home to cook and bath and God knows what else. The best part of my day is when I see my two dogs who will not turn into brats and get pregnant, take drugs and stick me in a nursing home. The suck the life out of you and you can kiss money goodbye.

Wow I hope that is not how my mom feels about me .
Honestly I keep going back and forth with my boyfriend whether we will have children after we get married. He wants them but every time I hear one cry in my mom's daycare I cringe. The worse sound is a crying baby.
But they are so adorable once they shut up

Its different when its your own. And once you have children you suddenly have this epiphany about others too. good luck
PS...they're really sweet when they sleep!

I had one child and said I was DONE.
But then the choice was taken away from me (cancer) and my biological clock started ticking. Isn't that always the way? What a cruel joke!
Once I'm completely well we may foster a child here in SC. We are seriously considering it. Yes, children can be terrors and they are A LOT of work and money. But raising a child and helping them along their way into adulthood has fulfilled me in a way that nothing else in the world ever could.
My point is, you never know. Some women never want children and then later on they find themselves wanting it badly. So many women are waiting to start families these days because you can easily have a child into your 40s.
Although I don't think LJeen is going to change her mind. At least not anytime soon.
