Thanks. Likewise. I don't really care if I'm "liked" or not though. I just can't believe so many folks engage in such name-calling when I don't attack them first. I'd love for JERSEY MAN (enjoy the caps lock much?) to show me a quote from when I insulted him to elicit such a snide remark, and then I'll gladly eat my crow.

Oh come on people. Stay on topic.
I can't imagine people spending more than 4 hours commuting each day. That is insane. I don't care how much money it was. I don't think anyone would take that seriously as an option. It sounds like a joke. The people who do that type of thing for real must want it bad. That is NOT a realistic option for most people.
I don't think you can call everyone on this board a whiner either. People that are happy are less likely to post here of course but folks have legit gripes. It is not just about one thing. It is never that simple. People whine about taxes in NY,MA,RI, etc. It is not hard to understand why. It is not just an NJ thing. Never was. That is just ignorant. When you walk in their shoes you will understand better. Maybe you will never be in those shoes.
Also, people will not relocate where there are few jobs. Even if you love upstate NY- you would not move there w/o a job. Few would. Telling someone to commute that distance to NYC for example is just ridiculous. I mean you are telling people to quit griping and move hours away as an alternative. I can't believe you don't understand how insane that sounds. Of course people would prefer moving out of the area alltogether and living/ working within one area. Use your common sense.

The thread brought out a lot of really timely things a lot of people are dealing with today. Of course it was also a platform for people who like to lecture and bash. But the overall discourse and topic was good and touched on lots of relevant things.
