I was looking around for washer/dryers and i'm being told that the power output should either be Gas or 220w for the dryers. Does anyone know what comes standard with the home or is this something that needs installation at the time of wiring?

thanks
Kar

Dryer comes standard with electric unless you paid extra to have it switched to gas.

Note that you may have to purchase your own dryer bib. Our unit didn't come with it, not sure if Pulte just forgot to include it or not.

Hey - thanks, i was there at the sales office yesterday and the lady there told me that for dryer it is gas by default and for washer it is electric. Now i am a bit confused

I did opt for the electric to gas conversion, so maybe it is not much of a deal.

thanks
Kar

it all depend on what model you are in,, if you are in Manchester or Lancaster then you have to upgrade to get the gas dryer!! But if you are in Davenport you are getting gas dryer by default. I just had my first walkthrough, they told me to get the gas dryer not elelctric .

Thanks - When you mean upgrade, i hope you are referring to the Gas upgrade with the design team (approx $1700?).

Hi guys,

I was just taking a look at my unit's progress and saw a bunch of Gas Grills covered up... Has there been any complaints?
Looking for a grill for my unit right now. TIA

I think that all communities with large, new construction townhomes and apartments are taking a very close look at and keeping a close eye on the communities with regards to possible fire hazards ever since the horrible fire at the Avalon Community in Edgewater. Remember it is a NJ state law, not your local HOA. The state fire code specifies:

LP-gas barbecue grills and outdoor fireplaces are prohibited in all the following locations:
1. On any porch, balcony, or any other portion of a building;
2. Within any room or space of a building;
3. Within 5 feet of any combustible exterior wall;
4. Within 5 feet, vertically or horizontally, of an opening in any wall, and
5. Under any building overhang.

Charcoal grills, other open-flame cooking devices and outdoor fireplaces shall not be used or stored in the following locations:
1. On combustible balconies or decks;
2. Within 5 feet of combustible construction.

Counter to what other posters have commented on here, it is against NJ fire code to have a gas or charcoal grill on your deck. While many people flout this law, my guess is that at some point they will be asked to remove or will be fined. Your call on whether you want to take that risk.

This is incorrect. They are not allowed on any combustible decks under the NJ Fire Code. Has nothing to do with the town.
