There are no tax implications of bringing the money - but there is on earning you may get from that money if you invest it in the US.

Best ideas are to bring cashiers check, or open an account with Citi or HSBC. You will need a US SS# to have an account in the US.

I would like to know what will be my best options and what would be the
tax implications.
Considering the tax and legal obligations of the transfer, why would anyone in their right mind ask for advice of a forum that could be answered by a 12 year old with absolutely zero knowledge in the subject area.

How about asking this at a bank in your current county who no doubt has a lot of experience in the subject area.

Bring it in cash to the airport and I'll split it with you. I'm the guy with the fake beard, black wig and a cane. 50/50 split

Thanks guys..I called up US customs and they informed that I can bring any amount but i just need to declare it if it is above 10k. They will not charge any duty but send the report to Tax department and tax department will decide if they should tax this money or not. Customs just need to know what I am bringing.
