The gas station attendent. NJ is one of two states that do not allow you to pump your own gas. Every gas station has attendents and NJ gas is still alot cheaper than most of the country.

That would be the gas attendant since it's against the law in NJ to pump it yourself.

Agreed! People (who aren't from NJ, or have never lived there) think I'm nuts when I say that! NJ people are some of the nicest/friendliest/most amazing (and interesting) people I've ever met. The people are part of the reason I love NJ so much.

i miss that feeling of seeing an italian person. and you just know who they are cause you can see them a mile away. just makes you feel like you are home.
i miss gas station attendants, bread, cheese and coldcuts(they exist for double the price when you can find them) produce markets!!!! farmers markets cost double and still dont have everything. bagels, pizza, and knowing where all the good restaurants are. being close to NYC and IKEA! mass in italian, etc etc etc

Guess what, 10 of the posters on this thread are from out of state and now me, that makes 3 that still live in Jersey. How come the transplants can come up with this thread and the surviving New Jerseans are not posting. Come on people, jump in. As for me its definitely the shore and the boardwalks of Sea Girt, Spring Lake, Point Pleasant.
