What does is cost (ballpark) to replace boiler? (water heater, live in)

I live in union county... Just got a quote to replace my boiler and hotwater heater with a single, on demand unit. The model they are recommending I saw online for $2500. Their quote was over $8k. Its a smallish house--3 br/2ba. 1800sqft plus finished basement

Reasonable? Excessive?

What model is it? The navien combi unit is around that, but i'm not sure if it's a boiler, or just hot water heat (i.e., a boiler is needed for steam heat)

keep in mind that $8k is installation labor, plumbing materials needed, etc.

yeah, so you're looking up just the price of the unit. i'm sure if you look at the details of the quote, that's all in. it sounds about right. i know a great plumber in NJ if you need a second quote.
