I am a single (and looking), social, car-less Brooklyn-kinda-girl in my late twenties. I recently finished a lease in Manhattan and moved back home with my parents in Monmouth County. I'm considering a new job in an inconvenient location - Fort Lee, steps from the GWB. Where would you all suggest I move? Manhattan-near-the-A-train? Weehawkin? Hoboken? Elsewhere?
I was originally considering Manhattan-near-the-A-train and commuting A-train to 179th and jitney across GWB. That's about 45 mins without GWB traffic. However, maybe there are better commute/housing combos elsewhere.
Short version:
Budget: $1200/month per person
Need public transit commute to Ft Lee
Want to be in a good spot for 20s and 30s singles
You are all so helpful. I really appreciate your help here.
