File this under use it or lose it. Well at least far as illegal aliens are concerned. Since $34 million USD is now going into state budget pot to be spent elsewhere, NJ comes out ahead.

Well if you listen to their supporters moaning, NJ didn't handle their illegal fund well.

CA and NY among other states who did similar programs not only spent every GD dime, but ran out of funds rather quickly.

I work at a retail bank in NYC, and let me tell you those NY Excluded Workers’ Fund folks are wiping out our cash supply daily. They can only withdraw $500 at a time for some reason and the money never seems to run out.

We did that at the time, thread is somewhere in archives.

End of day NJ like NY, CA and other places that rolled out similar schemes governors and majority of state legislators (who voted to pass these things) didn't or don't give a rat's behind about what some in their state think.

Kicker is good amount of these various pools came from federal pandemic relief money doled out to states with nil to no restrictions. That was Chuck Schumer and other democrats idea because it allows local governments to sidestep laws that restrict federal funds to illegal aliens.

money a problem??? how about this sanctuary state policy of law enforcement not able to communicate with ICE????

Slap in the face to the 911 commission which found lack of cooperation/communication among law enforcement agencies were responsible for 911 and would be a weak spot for any further terrorist attacks.

Creative accounting, tolerance for fraud are earmarks of the government's handing of our hard earned tax money.

From the article:
“Immigrant groups praised Murphy’s decision to allocate additional funds but said that would still fall short of the need, which they estimate at $1 billion. New Jersey is home to more than half a million undocumented immigrants”

Absolutely ridiculous
