JVS does holiday lights for many commercial properties around the Westwood area. They do really good work and the owner is a good guy.

I can't see how anyone could see themselves paying $1000 for someone to hang Christmas lights. Of course, I can't figure out why people pay other people to mow their lawns, rake their leaves, or change their oil either
I mowed my own lawn, and did all of my gardening work until this year because I really enjoyed it. Work just got too busy to do it during the week, and the 3 weekends a month I spend not working, are now taken up by my kids sports, birthday parties, etc. Last weekend I had three soccer games on Saturday and two soccer games plus a birthday party on Sunday, and that is pretty much going to be the way it is for the next 5-10 years of my life. I miss taking care of the yard, but with my schedule, finding time to fit it in would be more stressful than enjoyable now.

Nobody has any info for me?

I have consult Friday with "lightning specialist" since the board is so enamored with this (SARCASM), I will let everyone knows how it goes.

Make sure you're grounded before shaking hands!

- one day you can eat & drink like a pig guilt-free,
- hours & hours of football on the teevee

Maybe you have to set up a few tables or folding chairs. Wash a dish or two to not look like a total freeloader. But that's it! Awesome holiday.
I LOVE Thanksgiving. But, I learned last year that if you try to schedule someone to do your lights after Thanksgiving, you get laughed at. Thats why I have my consult tomorrow. But I do agree, Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday by far. We hosted it last year, about 15 people. Wife was 6 months pregnant so I had to help out alot, but didnt mind. Doing it again this year with 20 people and a 9 month old, so we shall see how it goes.

I agree, I hire people to cut the lawn, clean the gutters, clean the house, etc. I work hard Monday-Friday, I dont wanna deal with that crap when I'm home.
