sure, after we make sure they dont have ebola. if they dont want to be restricted in returning, they shouldnt go there. funny how you leftists are all about the greater good until it comes to restricting travel from africa. maybe its a refusal to question anything obama does.

the fact is that this guy brought ebola to nyc from an affected country and if we wouldnt have let people from those countries enter; ebola wouldnt be in nyc. keep trying to irrationally defend your dear leader obama. people are going to see this as obama letting ebola into nyc and they should.

Right now there is a joint press conference of Governors Christie & Cuomo about new Ebola screening procedures at Newark & JFK airports. There will now be a mandatory 21 day quarantine for passengers coming from Ebola stricken areas if I understood correctly.

Yeah, let's play that out.... tell every healthcare worker that after going and treating Ebola victims, you have to stay there in quarantine for 3 weeks before returning home. Great recipe for getting no help there and having it really blow up out of control.

Or you could just close your eyes really tight, close the borders, and pretend that it will just go away.

Your version of "greater good" (as usual) involves you and your family and screw the rest. You demonstrated it during Sandy and time and time again.

awwww shucks. if someone is an American citizen, id make sure they are tested and free of ebola before returning but id let them return. if they choose not to go if they cant freely enter then thats fine. id rather they not go then travel there to pick up some ebola to go.

btw, what do you think the american people prefer? but you know better right so who cares what people want.

btw, i dont really believe you think we shouldnt restrict people from those countries. your position is purely political and you should be ashamed of it.

new policy, which should have been the old policy

New York and New Jersey Will Quarantine Medical Workers

Medical personnel returning from Ebola-stricken countries returning to New York or New Jersey will be automatically quarantined, officials said Friday afternoon.

The announcement came on the heels of news that an American health-care worker who had had contact with Ebola patients in West Africa was quarantined upon arriving at Newark Liberty International Airport.

In a joint news conference with Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo of New York at 7 World Trade Center, Mr. Christie said, “We believe quarantine is the right way to go,” even though the woman had no symptoms.

Mr. Cuomo added, “This is not the time to take chances.”

I think the automatic mandatory 21 day quarantine will be for anyone considered high risk coming from those Ebola-stricken countries.

As usual, what you believe about my beliefs doesn't matter. You choose to project shame because your behavior has been demonstrated to be selfish and shameful.

And we don't make public health decisions (or lots of the most critical decisions for the country) based on what the people "prefer".

Finally, I have no problem with the Christie/Cuomo action today which is light years away from your plan of leaving the doctors in West Africa in quarantine. (And then what if they get sick, leave them there with poor care, or just bring back the ones that get sick?)
