In woolwich township in south jersey, the best place to have a good pizza is Pat's. Tell them how you like it and that is how it is made.

There are a number of really good places in North Jersey - I don't know what people are talking about when they say they can't get a good pizza. I think there are TOO MANY now and when people order from a dump once or twice they give up. But there are MANY good pizza places around.
Benny Tudino's in Hoboken is great...IMO. I've never been unhappy when I've gone there. Kinchley's in Ramsey - while I have not been in a while - was always FABulous. I also saw Mr. Ninno's in Harrison and T&J's in Lodi mentioned here and I have liked them both as well. There is a place in Moonachie or Little Ferry - on a corner - on Moonachie Ave... I can't think of the name now it's across from a little strip mall... right by the Church, they are always really good too. For all the talk of how wonderful NY Pizza is, I too have had LOTS of bad pizza there. Johns on Bleeker has to be the most overrated place on earth. I have been there several times and I have never been overly impressed. And you know, I did have good pizza in Florida once. LOL It was a long time ago, mabe 12-13 yrs ago..in Little Havana, can't remember the name of the place for the life of me but it was really good! |

Great pizza at home.
![]() I picked up a $3 stone at a garage sale the other day. Nice and big - 14.5 x 18.5, about half inch thick. Gets very hot! 600+ degrees. Fresh NJ tomatoes from the farmer's market, fresh basil from the backyard, organic cheese, sea salt.. |

it took me awhile, but i found it - it's Jumbo's, right at Mariner's Pier. In trying to find it I did read about Mack's and Sam's. We'll be there in August so I'll have to partake in both and report back.
