florida is a big state and to say that just because you've been unable to find decent pizza here doesn't mean that there isn't any decent pizza in the entire state, it is too bad that you've been unable to find pizza that os to your liking where you live, if good pizza is the most important thing to you, you should move back to NJ.

When I lived in Union / Somerset county we used to have really good pizza. I was back in Roselle 2 years ago, the place on Chestnut & 2nd ave was still good.
Watchung, Marino's pizza was always good. I stopped working in Watchung around 1992 and every time I went back up there and had their pizza it was still the best in the area.
Freehold - hubby loves Federici’s

Federici's is good. Stefano's right across the street serves a pretty good marguerita pie and Tony's on Schanck Road has good pizza as long as you tell him crispy!

I make decent pizza and it has nothing to do with the water. Chris Bianco in Phoenix, AZ has what is touted as some of the best pizza in the country and Phoenix tap water is awful

While in principal of course I'd have to agree with you I would also say that I too never found a pizza place in Florida that is up to NJ standards. I don't know if it's the water, the humidity or what ever but even great bread is almost impossible to find...
As for the Raritan river water comparision taste test...I'll pass

it's because it's florida, it's not NJ, if it's good pizza that makes it for you florida is not the place to be.
I'm in florida and I've found a couple of half way decent places for pizza, now try and get a pork roll sandwich down here!

We like Pete and Elda's best, but we also love The Brothers in Red Bank. I agree Val's (above) is also good.

Brothers is great but I get pasta when I get home (in OH). My folks live in Red Bank & I grew up in Rumson. I want it to be the way it was. I saw Danny, from "Danny's" Little Silver at the Breeders Cup, Is Mr. Pizza Slice still on Monmouth Street???
I still freak going to Sea Bright that P~House is gone....
I'm shooting to come home, ASAP!

He was there when I was working on the corner of Maple and Front Street in early 2005- I can't say that he's still there though.
Not to get off topic, but the best food in Red Bank was the little hot dog shop in the side alley off Monmouth (next to the Dublin House)- he was like Red Bank's "soup nazi"- he'd have a line out the door for hot dogs and soup every day at lunch. I'll take a large Italian Wedding and a Chicago dog, please......
