Best plan might be to take a train back to NYC after the game, walk up to the Port Authority Bus Terminal, and take a bus to AC. If money is no object you could take an Acela from NYC to Philly and then an NJT train to AC. This is a 3 hour trip at least, depending on the time and day and how lucky you are making the connections.

Forget that. If money is no object, take a car service.

*Train from METLIFE TO SECAUCS and transfer to NJ TRANSIT NEC TO TRENTON Connect @ Trenton to the SEPTA train to Philly to 30th st and hop the NJ TRANSIT Atlantic City Line. Lower level platforming downstairs.
This will prbly take well over 3 hours.

NJTRANSIT FROM METLIFE TO SECAUCUS JCT
*Transfer to the Northeast Corridor Line to Trenton
*Transfer at Trenton to the Trenton Line to Philly 30th St Station
*Transfer at 30th st to NJTransit Atlantic City line....this line runs every two hours last train is at like a bit after 12midnight.

This should be a total of $34-37 dollars. Travel time will be about 3-4 hours.

If you are on a time constraint and not money pinching.

From Metlife ..transfer @ Sea.Jct to NE CORRIDOR to Newark Penn at hop AMTRAK TO PHILLY 30TH ST AND THEN TO NJTRANSIT AC LINE.

This will cost more and take less time for the most part.

I know it might look a bit confusing....but thank christ we have a system that is well connected for the most part.

*NJTRANSIT- Buy tickets before you board the train they may charge you a surcharge for buying on the train. Or download the mytix app and buy your electronic tickets and just show it to the conductors.
*AMTRAK -You will have to buy at a machine or app...not sure if they do on train sales.
*SEPTA - Again buy your ticket at the NJTRANSIT Vending machine on the platform at Trenton.SEPTA will charge you a surcharge.

Hope this was helpful...i dont know if you from the area or not....but its pretty easy. And don't get overwhelmed.

NJ transit, Secaucus to Trenton. River line, Trenton to Pennsauken, Gambler's Express, Pennsauken to AC.
No need to go to Philly. River line (across the street from NJT station Trenton) is at least a fin cheaper than Septa.

My only concern would be if he is coming from a game at MetLife...and the timing. I say this because the RiverLINE stops at 9:30PM Monday-Friday & Sunday. 11:59 ON Saturday nights. And also its cold out....i dont think they want to stand at the PENNSAUKEN TRASNIT CENTER FOR GOD knows how long....the RVL runs more frequent then the AC LINE. Then also NEC coming to Trenton is known to have delays and miss the RVL OR SEPTA Train. The last SEPTA Train to Philly from Trenton is @ 12:20 Mon-Fri 1:47 Saturday and 12:01 Sunday ...the last AC Train is 12:50....if they are coming during this time it may be best to go into Center City and get the NJT Bus to AC.....It might be best to leave not to late since everything wont be running as frequent.

But if timing is right you can def.meet the AC Train from the Riverline depending on connecting times. But we are speaking of NJTRANSIT and SEPTA and something always goes haywire. Isn't there a bus from Newark to Atlantic City or something ?

Sleep overnight in Meadowlands. Go to Chinatown and take an AC bus. The NJ Transit options are ridiculous.

Chinatown bus or Redneck Pickup Truck Service

Figure if there are Chinatown buses all over, there must be redneck pickup trucks too
