Psyched to use my new snowblower, not psyched at the prospect of losing power.
Was out 11 days during Sandy and I've been putting off buying an inverter generator. Hope it doesn't bite me in the a$$. Gas stations around here in Wyckoff/Midland Park had long lines with folks filling up their 2.5 & 5 gallon gas cans.
We're ready. Generator is full, spare gas cans are full, snow blower is primed, pantry is stocked, liquor inventory is optimal and car is in the garage.

Oh yeah-that stuff is done too. Yuengling Bock...mmmmm... My wife usually does the grocery shopping during the week so we missed that madness, but I needed some chains for the tractor tires so I went down to Tractor Supply in Raritan-it was mobbed! We just put these on the kiddie hauler-can't wait to try them out:
Badfish and Calico, you are mountain people!!!! lmao You all are only going to get a dusting, us shore people are going to be trapped for a week as the towns are not prepared for this. Our idea of a town plow is a DPW pickup that's converted with a shovel on the front. The only way we got out last time when we had about 30 inches the day after Christmas a few years back was when my neighbor carjacked a front end loader from the paving company where he worked.
