We are pretty much right on the border with blizzard warning & storm warning...honestly I don't know what to expect. I am concerned about losing power...we do not have a generator. If it is out long enough, I'm already looking up pet friendly hotels. I wonder how often hotels lose power?

Snow Days!! Absolutely groovy, we're done for the day, leaving early,(13:00) off tomorrow and we might be off Wednesday as well, if we declare a state of emergency, Safety first is my motto, It would be nice to have a few days of free time, lol. I have to pick up some scotch and Canadian club and call it a wrap, stay safe...

Usually hotels fill up immediately when the power goes out. I would imagine even more so with pet friendly hotels.

Just once, I would love to take a snow day. I'll be waking up at 4 to dig myself out of my driveway so I can get to work by 6:30. I'm sure the plows will have left me a giant mound of snow at the end of my driveway to dig out of by then.

Well someone has to be there to administer anesthesia to the guy who attempts to clear the jam in his snowblower chute while it's still running

Ugh...not that guy again. Would you believe I actually heard him promoted on NJ101.5 as a performer in one of those hack so-called comedy shows that Dennis Malloy headlines? They even mentioned this creepy video as part of his "past work." I can't think of anything sadder then watching a comedy show emceed by Dennis Malloy at a Knights of Columbus Hall

Governor Christie has declared a state of emergency. He also is closing state and government offices early (1 PM). He requests people not to be on the roads (this evening & tomorrow) and outside if not necessary. DOT patrols will be out to help travelers as necessary. There will be cross-honoring on public transit systems. Residents should be prepared for potential power outage conditions. If one's power goes out, a person should first contact their power company. Many schools will be closing early today as well as being closed tomorrow.
