There can be some times this summer where my family and I will go to NJ beaches. My origin of destination is bergen county. As some of you may know, the parkway is sometimes terrible. People drive recklessly causing accidents and is overloaded. I know of an alternate route (NJ Turnpike / I-95 to I-195 to CR-539 which places me on the GSP at exit 58). The turnpike gets backed up too, but I think that since the cars only / cars-trucks-buses lanes were extended, that it may not be a problem. Any suggestions?
Shh, don't tell people about that way. One downside of that route is that there are long stretches on 539 where it can be difficult to pass if you're caught behind a slow driver.
From wyckoff nj how would you say the best way to get to CR-539 is?
NJ Tpk South Exit 7A. 195 East first exit, exit 7. Right on Robbinsville Allentown Road follow about 3/4 mile. Right on South Main Street (524/539) follow about 1/4 mile. Left on High Street CR 539. Speed limits are enforced in all of the small towns you'll run through. The limit will drop to 30/35 in some towns and my suggestion is pay attention to those signs.

Is there a possibility of the turnpike being bad as well? They did extend the cars-only & cars-trucks-buses all the way to Bordentown, but am just curious
