nEED ADVICE ..MOVING TO BERGEN COUNTY (Fair Lawn, Rutherford: house, transfer, neighborhood)

My husbands job just moved to Secaucus, well be moving from Queens, NY so we dont really know the area were looking for:
no more than a 20-30 commute max from secaucus
Nothing south of North Arlington since i have family in Rockland County
We need a train station in town to NYC ( i know they all transfer at Secaucus)
Good school
were also looking for a 2 family house because our parents will be staying with us, i know not every neighborhood has 2 families
prefarrably a nice downtaown area
were flexible with the price but dont want to pay more than 10-12,000 max taxes

This is your third post and you've yet to state a budget. Can you afford $500k? $800k? $1.5 million? As you are surely aware, prices in Bergen County vary widely. No one can help you without that info.

OK, that gives you some choices. If you're looking for a two-family, you might want to try Fair Lawn. They have some older multi-family homes. Accessible to everything, easy commute to the city, jump right on the Parkway to get up to Rockland County. Rutherford or East Rutherford also.
