Default Finderne

From the testing scores, Adamasville school seems better than other elementary schools in Bridgewater. Anything else about Finderne I need to know?

Thanks in advance for any advice. I am seriously considering housing in Bridgewater now.

As for GreenBrook,it has some wicked steep hills which you can probably imagine is loads of fun in the ice! Also Route 22 is(was)a congested deathtrap

If you're looking for the best views, Green Brook is the choice. FYI, if you live in Warren and Watchung, you have to go through the same "steep" roads as you say since all these nice towns are also up in the mountains.

1) Adamasville school seems the best in all elementary schools in Bridgewater, so why Finderne is not desirable in Bridgewater?

2) Hillsborough was recently ranked the 23rd best places to live in US, according Money Magazine. But seems most people in this forum prefer Bridgewater or Greenbrook than Hillsborough.

Thank you so much!
1. Go drive thru Findern neighborhoods than drive thru some of the other Bridgewater neighborhoods and you will see why Findern is low on the list of desirable Bridgewater neighborhoods.

2. The people who write Money Magazine don't have to drive rt. 206

Rt. 22 is congested like every other highway in New Jersey......at rush hour only. Again, I travel these roads every day.
If you go up Warrenville Rd. every day, you know that in winter snowstorms, that road is often enough closed because it's a dangerous drive. I don't think that should stop someone buying a house near there, as there are plenty of other routes one can take up the mountian. ANd this year being a wild winter, I think it's only been closed once.

I live in Hillsborough and very rarely drive on Rt. 206, you just have to know the back roads......

And oh by the way, Hillsborough is a wonderful place to live!

Smile Green Brook

Can anyone give info on Green Brook; looking at a house on Park Ave? How is the elementary and middle school? How about activities for the kids soccer etc.

Personally, I'd choose Hillsborough. Nice community, decent public schools. No clue about new condos? Where are they? I drive through Hillsborough at least 4 times a week and am not quite sure where new condo developments are?

Bridgewater is way too crazy/busy for me and the schools aren't as great as they were in the past. A good friend of mine is moving to Montgomery b/c of the Bridgewater school system lacking.

Greenbrook? Depends on which side of 22 you want to be on and how far up the mountain you can afford to buy.

I've been trying to sell a house right off of Mtn blvd for a good 6 mos now. No bites. Everyone loves it - all brand-spanking new, just hoping buyers will soon realize that the market in NJ has bottomed out and NOW is the time to buy...but whatever. I've had people interested in renting so that will be my next step.

But I would choose Hillsborough no matter how you slice it and NO, I don't live in Hillsborough.

I think when you find the house you love forget the town, you will know it hits you when you walk in. I never explored Morris or Somerset and am in love with some of these areas. I think now driving and each day having a new adventure Somerset by far is the most beautiful land I have seen. Some of the hills and properties are like French/English countryside. I been driving thru Peapack and Gladstone and now I am going to hit the mountain areas I am having a blast. My new goal is in 10 years to move up and each year we are moving up better and better!! There is a so much better world than Bergen COunty and let me say you cant go wrong in most parts of Somerset or Morris!!!! You will find the perfect place it just hits you!!!! There all good towns!!

Hillsborough is runaway taxes, overbuilt, overcrowded with Bridgewater close behind. Branchburg would be my choice.
