The other person said all of NJ is very safe, or very few places in NJ are unsafe. I don't think NJ is any safer than any other state. I would say it's less safe given the amount of urban blight scattered throughout relative to other states.

Edison is not a bad place at all. It's huge and has many different areas ranging from working class to upper middle to upper class, but it is all very safe.

...and you would be...wrong.

Take your choice of which of these sources you would like to look at, but they all point toward New Jersey as being one of the safest states. Depending on the study year, NJ ranks anywhere from 10th safest out of 50 states to 13th safest.

If I am reading your screen name correctly, then I believe that you probably live in PA currently.
In light of that probability, I think it is interesting that your "new" state has a higher homicide rate than NJ.
