I am planning to move in morris or somerset county in new jersey. I work in morris plains and commute is not a problem. I can commute 25 miles from work. All I want is to have good school for my kids and less crime in the town. Moderate taxes should be fine and my range for house is 300k to 400k.

Thanks

I'm not sure where this zip code is although if I were a betting person, I would say...Long Valley? If so - great choice, probably the best choice you can make for what you are looking for / budget.

Agree with UKOK and Tahiti. Long Valley has good schools, and crime is almost non-existant there.

Most of the towns in Morris County have good schools. The best are Chatham, Madison, Mendham, Chester . Next are Long valley and Randolph and East Hanover/Whippany. I would avoid Dover, Wharton, Booton town, Mine Hill.

For 300 to 400k, your best bet in Somerset county is Bedminster.

THanks for all your reply. How is branchburg, bridgewater, bound brook, south bound brook, rocky hills, manville and north plainfield. I would also consider no flood zone. i have heard that some areas in somerset county has flood zone.

Thanks
